2019-20 League Fixtures Released
Mon 15th July 2019 | Announcements | By David Brindle
It's the moment you've all been waiting for as fixtures for the 2019/20 North West Counties Football League season have now been released.
All games in all three divisions will get underway at 15:00 on Saturday 3rd August 2019, and it's a blockbuster opening day for all clubs.
In the Premier Division, last season's runners-up Bootle will entertain Hanley Town, whilst Macron Cup winners 1874 Northwich are also at home against Padiham. Skelmersdale United's first game back in the league after relegation will see them travel to Ashton Athletic.
As for the newly promoted clubs, First Division South Champions Rylands are at home to Charnock Richard, whilst its a case of 'we meet again' as First Division North runners up Avro entertain First Division North Champions Longridge Town.
In the First Division North, both of the teams promoted from Step 7 will start with home games. Golcar United have something of a derby match against Prestwich Heys, whilst Pilkington will be at home to Cleator Moor Celtic.
The third new team in the division Emley AFC, who were laterally moved to the league from the Northern Counties East in the summer, will travel to last season's fourth placed team Lower Breck.
In the First Division South, last season's runners up Vauxhall Motors, who were denied promotion due to their low Points Per Game ratio compared to other Step 6 leagues, will start with a trip to Abbey Hey, who will be looking to bounce back to the Premier Division at the first attempt after relegation last season.
And West Didsbury & Chorlton, who dropped into the division alongside Abbey Hey from the Premier Division, will be looking to emulate their only previous First Division season as they open with a trip to Eccleshall.
