Player Appearance Statistics
Sadly the league records only go back to the 2007/08 season, but are pretty comprehensive from, that point on. This report looks at those players who are registered with one of our clubs for this season, though some have moved on during the season. From that period, there are five players who have more than 400 NWCFL appearances, including starts and subs.
Top of the tree is Louis Edwards, currently at Maine Road. Louis has 499 games under his belt and should hopefully become our first ‘Five Hundreder’ in the next week. Louis has been at Maine Road for six of the last seven seasons.
Next on our list is goalkeeper Gregg Hall with 467 appearances. Gregg is currently at Wythenshawe Town. Our records have Greg at Maine Road, Glossop and 1874 Northwich. This season is his first back In the NWCFL since the 2017/18 season.
In third position is Jamie Hay, currently plying his trade with Litherland REMYCA. Jamie has 433 games to his credit, 334 of these were with Bootle.
Moving on to Sam Hind at Stockport Georgians. Sam has 422 games to his name, his clubs have included Glossop North End, Abbey Hey, 1874 Northwich and both our Stockport teams.
Liam Loughlin hasn’t played this season but is registered with REMYCA. 407 games is his figure. Liam has played for Bootle, AFC Liverpool and now REMYCA. When are records began, he was initially registered with Runcorn Linnets.
Kevin Watkin has spent every season from 2007 with Holker Old Boys. The fifteen games so far this season have taken him passed the 400 mark and he now stands on 403.
Our final member of the current player 400 club is Emini Adegbenro, known affectionately as ‘Mini’. Registered this season with Ashton Town, he reached the 400 mark in their 1-5 Macron Cup defeat at Longridge. Mini started at Runcorn Town, moved on to Formby, then Bootle, Glossop, Ashton Athletic, AFC Liverpool, Congleton Town and Skelmersdale. He has 124 goals to his credit as well.
