League Stats and Milestone Update to Monday 1st April 2024

A big eight days for the stats fans.

Overall Stats

  • Ashton Athletic have now conceded 1,550 goals.
  • Barnton scored their 550th goal in the win against Winsford Utd.
  • Abbey Hulton passed 350 goals this week.
  • Burscough’s game against Irlam on Saturday was their 850th.
  • Chadderton’s defeat in the Isle of Man was their 600th loss in the league it also saw the Islanders score their 250th league goal.
  • Colne’s win at Barnoldswick was their 350th.
  • Droylsden hit their 350th with the only goal in the win against Alsager.
  • Litherland also joined the 350-game club with their Tuesday night draw at Irlam.
  • Runcorn Town passed 1,050 goals in their Friday night defat at FC St Helens.
  • Stafford Town conceded their 250th goal as they lost at Brocton.
  • Shelley conceded their 200th goal with the defeat against Holker.
  • Bury hit their 150th league goal with the draw against Wythenshawe – they also became the first side to score 100 goals during this season.

Home Stats

  • Charnock Richard conceded their 250th home goal with the defeat to Kendal.
  • Lower Breck’s win against Pilkington saw them pass 250 home goals.

Away Stats

  • Kendal Town’s opening goal at Charnock Richard was their 150th away from home.

Goal Heroes

  • Chad Whyte hit New Mills first triple as his side hit Abey Hulton for six.
  • Joel Ankers with three for Droylsden at Market Drayton
  • Lewis Rawsthorn with his second triple for Atherton LR, this time against Holker.

 

Manager Milestone

  • Sam Dexter managed his 100th game for Ilkley with a win against Ashton Athletic on Saturday
  • Declan Swan also saw success in his 100th game in charge as his side, Sandbach Utd won at Alsager.
  • Lee O’Brien and James Hampson reached the century on Monday afternoon with the defeat against Bury FC

 

Bits and Pieces

  • Zakariya Khan became the Division One North all-time leading scorer with his goals against Runcorn Town on Monday. He now has 36 league goals, with one game to play. This is the sixth season since the formation of the North and South Divisions. The South Division record is held by FC Isle of Man’s Sean Doyle who hit 40 league goals in the 21/22 season, followed closely by Wythenshawe’s Saul Henderson who hit 37 in the same season.
