Emirates FA Cup Draw

The draw has been made for the First Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup. 

Clubs from Step 3 of the National League System enter the competition at this stage with games scheduled for Saturday 2 September 2023.

The prize fund at this stage is £2250 for winning clubs while the losing teams receive £750 from the competition prize fund.

Ties involving our sides

Only two sides from the North West Counties Football League remain are definitely through to the next round, with a further three involved in midweek games to get there.

Charnock Richard's reward for beating Bury on Saturday is another home tie, this against NPL First Division West side Runcorn Linnets.

Prestwich Heys also face a NPL side, this a tough looking trip to NPL Premier Division side Workington.

Irlam and Goole played out a thrilling 3-3 draw on Saturday. The winners of the replay will host NPL Premier Division side Whitby Town in the next round.

Also drawing on Saturday was Barnoldswick Town at former NWCFL side Whitchurch Alport. The winners of that replay have a very tasty looking tie away at FC United of Manchester.

The final side left in are Lower Breck, who play at the first time of asking against Emley midweek. The winners of that tie will travel to NPL West side Widnes.
