Once again, the Buildbase FA Vase took centre stage as Wythenshawe Town made the 318-mile round trip to Consett in the 3rd Round - with a prize of a 4th Round home tie against Lutterworth Town.

But it was the Northern League side who advanced to the 4th Round as Dale Pearson popped up late with the winner against James Kinsey's side - a valiant effort from his side.

Whilst in The Macron Cup 3rd Round, the biggest winners of the day were Ashton Athletic as they ran out 6-0 winners against Wythenshawe Amateurs.

Meanwhile, over at AFC Blackpool, Ellesmere Rangers left it late to beat Martin Baird's side 2-1, whilst it took penalties to separate Rylands and 1874 Northwich as they drew 1-1 after an injury-time Lewis Buckley equaliser. 1874 eventually won 4-2 on penalties.

Two goals in the last five minutes turned the tie on its head for Shelley who beat Abbey Hey 3-2, whilst Litherland REMYCA advanced with a 2-1 slender win at Vauxhall Motors, and AFC Liverpool came away from Prestwich Heys with a 2-0 victory.

In the early kick-off, Runcorn Town was too strong away at West Didsbury & Chorlton, winning 4-1 with 142 watching on.

There where six NWCFL Premier Divison ties and with the league leaders in cup action, Charnock had the chance to narrow the gap to the summit and could only draw 2-2 against Northwich Victoria - coming from 2-0 down with 24 minutes remaining.

Avro recorded a 3-1 win against Hanley Town, Barnoldswick Town finished the weekend in 13th place in the table following their 4-2 win against Burscough and a 56th minute Jordan Southworth finish saw Irlam win 1-0 versus Winsford United.

Longridge Town also won by the same scoreline, 1-0 against Skelmersdale United, whilst Squires Gate's fans were fumbling for their car keys and heading towards the exit when Ryan Riley scored their 93rd-minute winner - finishing 2-1 to Luke Evans side.

Four games took place in the NWCFL First Division North and with the leaders Lower Breck in action, they defeated Holker Old Boys 4-1 - creating a seven-point gap at the summit.

Elsewhere, Cleator Moor Celtic are up to 11th following their 3-1 win against Daisy Hill, Nelson recorded a 3-1 win over Ashton Town after initially going behind, and it was heartbreak for Steeton who looked like they were going to record a vital win but a Nathan Strong 88th leveller for Atherton LR meant it ended 1-1.

In the game of the day in the NWCFL First Division South, FC Oswestry Town recorded an important 3-0 away win at Alsager Town, moving them to within a single point of the league leaders Vauxhall Motors.

Barnton held off a strong Sandbach United side to win 3-2, whilst Cammell Laird 1907 won 3-1 against Abey Hulton United and a late Louis Downs equaliser meant the points were shared between Stockport Town and Eccleshall as it ended 2-2.

Finally, Stone Old Alleynians moved up to third, following an impressive 4-1 win at home against Cheadle Heath Nomads.

The action returns on another Monday night of action in the NWCFL, with two fixtures, Whitchurch Alport host Litherland REMYCA in the top flight, whilst in the First Division North, Daisy Hill entertain Prestwich Heys at New Sirs.
