After 587 days in charge at Stockport Town, their First team management duo of Jake Davies and Bobby Lofthouse along with their U21’s manager Callum Davies have resigned from their roles with immediate effect.

A statement from the club says, "The club would like to thank all 3 for their efforts whilst at the club and wish them well in what we are sure will be long careers within the game.

Chairman Rob York commented “Jake, Bobby & Callum have been outstanding people during their time at the club and I thank them for their dedication over the last 18 months. As a club, we pride ourselves on providing opportunities for young players and coaches and we are happy to be a part of their journey into management.”

Jake first took over the 1st team role in March 2018 and guided the club to the final of the Cheshire Senior Cup within the first few weeks of his tenure.

He commented “I would like to thank Stockport Town FC for the opportunity to step into this level of football and will always be grateful for the support received. I would also like to thank the players who have been an absolute credit to work with during my time at the club. Unfortunately, it is time to move on, it has been hard to say goodbye but I wish the lions the biggest success in the future.”

The club aims to make a further announcement on a new manager in the coming days.
