In the First Round qualifying there are some familiar looking opponents and some familiar looking ties but all look very comeptitive in a competition that our clubs have done well in over the years.  Route One Rovers make their debut in the competition this season and they start with an away trip in an  all NWCFL tie at Kendal Town.  Droylsden have a tough looking home tie against Wakefield and Bacup Borough are at home to Brigg Town, two very strong sides going head to head.

Other notable ties include Lower Breck hosting Penistone Church, a team that has become very familiar to NWCFL clubs over recent seasons and these sides met at the same stage last season with Penistone winning 0-2 on the day.  Ramsbottom United travel to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic as Rammy return to the competition for the first time in a while.  Barnton have a really tough draw as they travel to Frickley Athletic whilst Eccleshall host Hinckley in another great looking tie.
