Isuzu FA Vase - Draw for the First and Second Round Qualifying

The draw for the First and Second Round Qualifying of the Isuzu FA Vase has been released.
35 of our teams will start in the First Qualifying Round, with six all-NWCFL ties. The pick of the bunch has to be Maghull, who will be playing in their first FA Vase campaign since the 1996/97 season. They will host last seasons Premier Division runners up Bury. The other five ties are also Premier Division v Division One ties.
Four time FA Vase winners Whitley Bay travel to Longridge Town, whilst former NWCFL side Golcar United host New Mills. Northwich Victoria will also be back on NWCFL turf as they travel to AFC Liverpool.
Allscott Heath's first Vase tie as a NWCFL side sees them travel to Chelmsley Town, a new opponent for our league. Other new opponents are Heather St Johns who travel to Alsager Town, Dearne & District who host Darwen and Horbury Town who host Ashton Town.
AFC Blackpool, FC Isle of Man, Nelson, Thornton Cleveleys and Wolverhampton Sporting Community have not entered the FA Vase this season.

Another 15 NWCFL sides have a bye to the Second Qualifying Round. Amongst them are Foley Meir who will be making their FA Vase debut with a trip to Coton Green. Fellow newcomers Shawbury United also enter at this stage, and they will host either Market Drayton Town or Studley.
There is a lot of either/or at this stage, but there will be at least five all-NWCFL sides going through to the First Round looking at the draw. One such draw sees Barnoldswick Town host Steeton and there could be a good crowd there for that one.
Another interesting draw that could take place is Barnton being the away side at tenents 1874 Northwich, provided both sides win their opening matches of course!
