The Opening fixtures of the 2024-25 North West Counties League Season have been released.  The opening weekend of the season sees a number of interesting fixtures across all three divisions.

In the Premier Division on Saturday 27th we see West Didsbury & Chorlton host Glossop North End, whilst Bury start their campaign with a trip to Squires Gate.  FC Isle of Man host Chadderton for their opening fixtures, whilst Lower Breck travel to Barnoldswick Town.  The Four newly promoted clubs all have tough looking starts as reigning First Division North Champions host First Division South Play-off winners, Abbey Hey.  South Liverpool start their Step five campaign also with a home game as they will host Charnock Richard.  Stockport Town will start their season on the road as they travel to Salford to take on Irlam.

The opening games continue apace as there are a set of midweek fixtures immediately after the opening weekend.  Stockport Town's first home game is on Monday 29th July as they welcome West Didsbury & Chorlton to the Sports Village.  On Tuesday 30th, Burscough host Squires Gate whilst AFC Liverpool travel to Prestwich Heys.  Bury's second game is also away, they will travel to Padiham.   The Wednesday evening sees FC St Helens hit the road as they travel to Cheadle Town and there are a couple of local derbies taking place that evening as Pilkington travel along the East Lancs to Litherland Remyca and Lower Breck travel to South Liverpool in the "68 Derby" named after the bus route that links the two clubs.
