2024/25 Play-Off and Cup Final details

The North West Counties Football League can confirm the following dates for the end of season play-off competitions and cup finals:

Saturday 19th April

First Division Champions Cup:

The champions of the First Division North and First Division South will play a single tie at the ground of the club with the best record over the league season to determine the winners of the First Division Champions Cup.

First Division North & South Play-Off Semi Finals:

The semi-finals are single-leg ties hosted by the club who finishes higher in the league table, in the following format:

2nd place vs. 5th place

3rd place vs. 4th place

Monday 21st April

Edward Case Cup Final:

Atherton LR vs. Stafford Town, to be played at SMS Pro Soccer Park (FC St Helens), kick off 3.00pm

Saturday 26th April

Premier Division Play-Off Semi Finals:

The semi-finals are single-leg ties hosted by the club who finishes higher in the league table, in the following format:

2nd place vs. 5th place

3rd place vs. 4th place

First Division North Play-Off Final:

The winners of the two semi-finals will play a single tie at the ground of the club who finished higher in the final League table to determine the winner of the Play-Offs and the second club to win promotion to Step 5.

First Division South Play-Off Final:

The winners of the two semi-finals will play a single tie at the ground of the club who finished higher in the final League table to determine the winner of the Play-Offs and the second club to win promotion to Step 5.

Saturday 3rd May

Premier Division Play-Off Final:

The winners of the two semi-finals will play a single tie at the ground of the club who finished higher in the final League table to determine the winner of the Play-Offs and the second club to win promotion to Step 4.

Monday 5th May

Macron Cup Final:

Charnock Richard or Barnton vs. AFC Blackpool or Stafford Town, to be played at Wham Stadium (Accrington Stanley), kick off 3.00pm

Saturday 19th July

League Champions (Premier Division) v Challenge Cup Winners (Macron Cup)

The champions of the Premier Division and winners of the Macron Cup will play a single tie at the ground of the Premier Division winners.

Notes: Qualification for the play-offs is subject to clubs meeting FA criteria. In the event of any club in the top five not being eligible for promotion, the play-offs may involve clubs finishing 6th or 7th. All ties will go to a penalty shootout if scores are level after 90 minutes.
