Daisy Hill Look To Recruit Secretary

After an amazing 58 years in the post, Daisy Hill FC Secretary Bob Naylor is looking to take a backward step towards enjoying some leisure time.

Bob joined the Daisy Hill committee in 1961 and was the Assistant Secretary for four years, before the existing Secretary asked if he could take over. He did so, and the rest is history. Bob is the only Secretary in the NWCFL who has been in the role continuously at the same club since the League began in 1982.

With this announcement, the club is looking for a suitable replacement to work alongside Bob in the short term, with a view to taking over the position of Secretary on a permanent basis.Ideally the suitable candidate will live within travelling distance of the club, be computer and smart phone literate and possess good administration skills.

They must be able to attend home and away matches during the season, at weekends and on midweek evenings, to fulfil the League’s match administration requirements within the necessary timescales.

Knowledge of the League, County FA and FA requirements would be an advantage, along with an interest in non-league football generally.

Interested candidates should contact Bob Naylor by e-mail in the first instance, at randjnaylor8@gmail.com
