Shelley Community Football Club have been awarded the National Grounds Team of the Year title for step five and six by the Football Association.
Shelley won the award ahead of clubs from across the nation at this level of football, after being earlier notified they were within the top six.
For the past two years running, the club have also been named the Grounds Team of the Year by the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA.
The grounds team at the club is made up of Ash Berry, Rob Hardy and Stuart Crank - two-thirds of whom are volunteers.
The trio were invited to St George’s Park for the awards ceremony and presented with their award by Head Groundsman for Wembley.
"It’s a great honour to be recognised for all the hard work we have put in at the Stafflex Arena, we are incredibly proud and humbled," said Stuart.
"It’s a fantastic advert for our club and for grassroots football."
A spokesperson for the club added it was a "huge honour" and expressed their delight at the award.
"Thank you to our Grounds Team and to every volunteer who had given their time to help make our ground the best it can be."
Shelley welcome Prestwich Heys to the Staffex Arena on Saturday 17th, and will be sure to be celebrating their achievement during the day of the game.
