The FA have ordered that the Wythenshawe vs Vauxhall Motors fixture in the FA Cup Preliminary Round shall be replayed in its entirety at Vauxhall Motors' vanEupen Arena home ground.

The original tie, played at Hollyhedge Park, was abandoned in the 90th minute due to a serious injury to the Ammies' Joel Ankers. The rearranged match will take place on Tuesday 19th August with kick off set for 7.45pm.

The FA sub-committee have made this decision based on the following factors:

  • Neither Club was at fault for causing the match to be abandoned.
  • The match had not been completed in its entirety as it had been abandoned in the 90th minute, with approximately a minimum of five minutes of added time still to play.
  • The scoreline at the time of the abandonment was 3-2 to Vauxhall Motors FC, who had been reduced to ten players.

As a result, they have ruled that:

  • The scoreline at the time of the abandonment should not stand as the result of the match.
  • The match should be replayed in its entirety to a conclusion at Vauxhall Motors FC on Tuesday 19 August, 7.45pm kick-off.
