League Stats and Milestone Update to Saturday 17th February 2023

Lots of games but very few milestones to report.

Overall Stats

  • Barnoldswick scored their 950th goal in the 3-3 draw at Colne, they also conceded their 500th away goal in the game.
  • Runcorn Town’s 1-0 win at home to Shelley was their 250th and their next game will be their 500th league fixture
  • Stafford Town hit the 100-game mark with the 2-2 draw with Stockport Town, also their 50th home game.

Home Stats

  • Irlam’s defeat on Tuesday night to Wythenshawe was their 100th at The RG3 Digital Stadium.
  • Droylsden played their 100th home game with the win against Barnton.

Away Stats

  • Shelley played their 50th away game at Runcorn Town.

Goal Heroes

  • No triple scorers this week.

Extras

  • Darwen 0-0 Daisy Hill was Darwen’s first in the league since 4th Nov 2017 (a run of 205 league games) and Daisy Hills first since 29th Aug 2022.
  • Ashton Town’s 0-0 with FC St Helens was their first since 7th Feb last year and the visitors first since 13th Aug 2022. This was also the first time in 75 league and cup game that FC St Helens had failed to score.
  • Michael Morrison, the Padiham manager is now just one game short of being in charge of his side for the 200th time, hopefully on Tuesday night when they play Chadderton at home.
  • Total attendance at league games across the three divisions now stands at an incredible 216,321. Bury FC’s home games account for 49,597 of this sum, whilst on the road they have attracted just over 20,000 supporters, boosting all clubs funds.
  • Bury FC and Chadderton FC are the first two clubs to pass the 100 goals for the season mark – across both Cup and League – they both sit on 102
  • Runcorn Town kept their first clean sheet for 21 games and Cammell laird got their first for 17 games.
