League Milestones and Statistics: Saturday 14th December 2024

 

Overall Stats

  • Chadderton’s opening goal in their 3-1 win at Litherland on Wednesday night was their 2,500th
  • Nathan Reid’s 86th minute goal for Holker Old Boys in their 4-0 win against Skelmersdale was their 2,000th in the NWCFL., from 1,187 games.
  • Garstang’s defeat against Darwen was their 100th in the league.

 

Home Stats

  • Holker’s second goal v Skelmersdale was their 1,150th at home.

 

Away Stats

  • Alsager Town’s win at Shawbury Utd was both their 450th away game and 150th away win.

 

Goal Heroes

  • Thomas Hoyle, three for Ramsbottom Utd in their Friday night Macron Cup win at Prestwich Heys (his second of the season)
  • Jordan Lazenbury with three of West Didsbury and Chorlton’s five in their superb FA Vase win against Silsden (also his second of the season).
  • Nathan Nickeas with three for Charnock Richard as his side won 5-1 at Droylsden in the Macron Cup.
  • Joe Bevan with his third triple for Sandbach Utd in their 4-0 win against Allscott Heath
  • Matthew Hearsey netted his second triple of the season for Stafford Town with the mid-week 5-1 win against Foley Meir in the Staffordshire Senior Cup.

 

General Stats

  • AFC Liverpool’s draw at Barnoldswick was their first in 30 games
  • Bury’s midweek goal at Irlam, scored by Cameron Fogerty was their 100th in all competitions this season.
  • When Matt Holmes of Market Drayton was awarded Goalkeeper of the Month for November, he continued a family tradition as his dad, Chris Holmes also won the award for Newcastle Town over twenty years ago – the only time this has happened, as far as we know.
