Mason Nevitt of South Liverpool has been presented with his Player of the Month award.
League Managament Committee Member Glyn Jones caught up with Mason at South Liverpool's home game on Saturday to present him with his long overdue award which he won back in November 2022.
This is what was said about him when the announcement was made.
FIRST DIVISION NORTH - MASON NEVITT (SOUTH LIVERPOOL)
Winning South Liverpool's first ever Player of the Month award is striker Mason Nevitt.
Mason started November as South Liverpool's leading scorer but had been out with an injury throughout October. South played 3 League & 4 cup ties in the month with Mason played in just 3 league & 2 cup as he was nursed back from that injury.
Nontheless he returned as a substitute in the Liverpool Senior Cup tie against Northern Premier League side Skelmersdale United. He scored a hat trick from the bench to ensure South played out a 3-3 draw, and added a penalty in the shoot-out which saw South through.
Mason followed this up with an amazing four goals in the home win over AFC Blackpool to make it seven goals in one and a half games! His goals carried on in the next three matches taking his total to 10 goals in November, ending as divisional leading scorer. His success in scoring in five consecutive games equalling a 56 year old record at the club.
The last two games of the month saw Mason again miss out as a precaution, Mason ending the month by scoring in every game and ten goals overall. He is a powerful and strong player with a devastating shot & coolness in front of goal, and a worthy winner of this award.
