Ahead of their 2-1 win against Holker Old Boys on Saturday, Golcar United's President, Ian Whitehead was presented with the award for Macron NWCFL First Division North club of January.
They started the month with a 1-0 loss at Prestwich Heys but followed it up with two successive away wins, scoring eight goals as they picked up maximum points at both Ashton Town and AFC Blackpool. This was followed by a 5-3 home win over Nelson, and they completed the month with their fourth win from five games with another five-goal haul, this time beating St Helens Town 5-0.
