We are delighted to confirm our Club of the Month winners for January 2025.

The league have a formula to work out our Club of the Month based on whether games were home and away and the quality of the opposition. Last months winners were are as follows:.

Premier Division - Irlam

Winning the Premier Division award for January 2024 is Irlam. This is the first time since September 2023 that they have won Club of the Month and only the second time that they have won it since promotion to the Premier Division.

Irlam played three of their four games in the month and the road and were unbeaten in the month, winning three and drawing the other.

They started the month as they came from behind at Litherland REMYCA, with two second half goals from Takura Sambizi giving them a 2-1 win. This was followed up by another away game at Cheadle Town where they recorded their first goalless draw in 24 games.

Next up was a home game against Glossop North End and once again they fell behind before a second half comeback. Mason Everton levelled matters in the 74th minute before John Johnston scored the winner with just four minutes remaining.

The final game of the month came just two days later at Stockport Town with something of a familiar pattern to this match. Stockport took the lead with John Johnston equalising just after the hour mark. Jack Mitchell then hit the winner with 11 minutes remaining to give Irlam another 2-1 win.

Those results gave Irlam 13 points from their 4 games for a 3.25 average.

The closest challengers were Padiham and Cheadle Town, with Bury also having a good month.
