League Milestones and Statistics: Sunday March 2nd, 2025.

 

Overall Stats:

  • Eccleshall’s draw at Winsford Utd saw them concede their 1,500th goal.
  • Alsager Town’s second goal in their win at Allscott Heath was their 1,400th.
  • Ashville’s win at Market Drayton Town was their 100th NWCFL game.
  • Charnock Richard lost their 100th NWCFL game with the defeat at Colne.

 

Home Stats:

  • Glossop’s game against West Didsbury & Chorlton was their 700th at home.

 

Away Stats:

  • Runcorn Town scored their 500th away goal with their first in the 5-1 win at Stafford Town.
  • Darwen’s opener in their 2-3 defeat at Droylsden was their 450th away goal.
  • Sandbach Utd played their 150th away game with the defeat at Stockport Georgians.

 

Goal Heroes:

  • John Johnston hit four of Irlam’s six as his side beat Chadderton, his second triple of the season.
  • Matthe Hearsey hit his third hat-trick of the season for Stafford Town in their midweek win against Ashville.

 

General Stats:

  • Prestwich Heys 0-0 at Abbey Hey was their first scoreless draw since August 2023, a run of 58 games.
  • Pilkington’s win against Barnoldswick saw them keep their first clean sheet in 22 games.
  • Thornton Cleveleys kept their first clean sheet in 16 games on Saturday.
  • Maghull got their first draw in 15 games with the 1-1 with Hoker OB.
  • South Liverpool – first clean sheet in 14 with the win at Squires Gate.
  • Cammell Laird 1907 got their first score draw in 13 with the 2-2 at Abbey Hulton.
  • Alsager Town kept their first clean sheet for 12 games with the win at Allscott Heath.
  • Chris Lomax (Ashton Town) reached 450 games back in December (belated congratulations).
  • Brandon Barski (Barnoldswick Town) also recently reached 450 games in the NWCFL.

 

Managers Milestones:

  • Carl Taylor and Ben Greenidge reached 200 games in charge of Chadderton, but not a game to remember as they lost 0-6 to Irlam.
  • Steve Wilkes’ next match in charge of Ramsbottom Utd will be his 100th for the club.
  • Phil Stafford is just 2 games short of his 100 in charge of AFC Liverpool.
