We were delighted to catch up recently with the Reusch UK First Division North Goalkeeper of the Month award winner for December 2024.

Steeton Goalkeeper Bradley Emmerson received the award from League Vice-Secretary Debbie Jessop who carried out the presentation on behalf of the League and our sponsors Reusch UK. This was presented at Garstang with Steeton not having any home games this month. Bradley recieves a pair of Goalkeeper Gloves from one of Reuch UK's leading range of Goalkeeper products. Bloods' goalkeeper coach Brendan Johns is looking on.

Emmerson played largely in the Northern Counties East League with Albion Sports and Eccleshill United before switching to the NWCFL in 2021/22 when he joined Campion. He remained with the club when they were laterally moved to the NCEL the following season, helping the Manningham based outfit to a famous double in 2022/23 in which they won the NCEL First Division and the West Riding County Cup.

He moved to Steeton in October after an injury to James Catlow, and has built up a firm understading with his defence in that time leading to a superb December. .

The month started with a 1-1 draw at Daisy Hill, where he kept his side a point with a wonderful late save two minutes from time to deny the home side. He then put in a Man of the Match performance on Boxing Day in a 2-0 away win at Route One Rovers in the derby match.

The final game of the month saw Steeton record another 1-1 on the road, this time at AFC Blackpool, with Bradley putting in a second Man of the Match winning performance inside three days.

Congratulations to Bradley for his performances in the month!
