Mon 7th October 2024 | League Awards | By Martin Fallon
We were delighted to catch up last Saturday with Stafford Town, winners of the First Division South Club of the Month award for July/August 2024.
Stafford Town Manager Adam Wall is pictured receiving the award from League Ambassador Andrew Reid who carried out the presentation on behalf of the League Committee.
After drawing their first game of the season at Sandbach United, they won their next three at Abbey Hulton United and at home to Stockport Georgians and Wolverhampton Sporting Community. Their only loss in the month then came at Alsager Town who won a 3-2 thriller, before Stafford won their final six games of the month.
They won three times in eight days at home, against Market Drayton Town, Shawbury United and Eccleshall before a 4-1 win at Bilston Town in the FA Vase. They then travelled to Ashville and won 2-1 before a 3-2 home win against Stafford Town in their final game.
Alsager Town were Stafford's closest contendors having started with six wins from six games, with New Mills and Winsford United both recording impressive results in the month.
Congrations to everyone at the club!
