League Statistician Kevin Lawton brings you a double header of milestones and statistics from the past couple of weeks:

Overall Stats

  • Cheadle Town reached the milestone of 1,450 NWCFL games with their win at Irlam.
  • Burscough’s defeat to South Liverpool was their 300th in the NWCFL (from 870 games).
  • Charnock Richard’s win against Litherland REMYCA was their 300th game in the league.
  • Holker Old Boys conceded their 2,250th goal as they beat Maine Road, whilst Maine Road’s opening goal was their 2,500th.
  • Prestwich Heys conceded their 700th goal in the defat at home to Chadderton.
  • AFC Blackpool played their 1,500th game with the defeat at home to Euxton Villa
  • FC Isle of Man’s defeat at home to Ramsbottom was their 50th loss in the league.
  • Foley Meir conceded their 150th goal when going down at Stockport Georgians.
  • Squires Gate’s consolation goal at Glossop was the home side’s 2,300th conceded goal.

Home Stats

  • Abbey Hulton’s win against Market Drayton was their 50th at home.
  • Alsager Town’s draw with Cheadle Heath Nomads was their 450th home game.
  • Ashton Town’s 2-2 with Nelson saw them pass 1,150 home goals.
  • Bury’s win against Chadderton on Tuesday was their 50th at home.
  • Longridge’s defeat to Bury saw them concede their 200th home goal.
  • Darwen played their 250th home game on Saturday when they beat Steeton 3-2.

Away Stats

  • Charnock Richard’s defeat at Pilkington was their 150th game on the road.
  • Garstang’s defeat at Daisy Hill was their 100th away game.
  • Steeton’s defeat at Darwen was their 100th game on the road.

Goal Heroes

  • Lewis-Simon Byrne with four for Chadderton as they won 5-3 at Prestwich Heys (his fourth coming in the 94th minute). He also got three the weekend before in the FA Vase.
  • Lucas Berry with four for Stockport Georgians as they won 6-1 at Wolverhampton Sporting Community (his second hat-trick of the season).
  • Will Rodgers with three for Allscott Heath in their home defeat to Ashville.
  • Lewis Moynes hit three for Ashville in their win at Allscott Heath (Ashville’s first triple since 18th Sept 2022).
  • Joshua Nicholson with three of Ashton Athletics’ goal as they beat AFC Blackpool. This was the first triple in the North Division since 24th August.
  • Aaron Dwyer with three for Stockport Town in their win against Maine Road in the Macron Cup.
  • In the same game, Jean-Jacques Kirongozi with three for Maine Road.
  • Muhammed Ahmed with three of Colne’s four at Thornton Cleveleys in the Macron Cup.
  • Joel Brownhill with three of Padiham’s ten as his side beat Garstang 10-1 in the Macron Cup.
  • Jakob Hebda, also Padiham, scored three against Abbey Hey.
  • Max Cane netted three for Nelson in their Macron Cup demolition of Squires Gate.
  • Cory Knight, three for Maine Road as they beat Thornton Cleveleys.
  • Brandon Collins with three for Holker against Skelmersdale; Luke Davey also netted three for Holker in the same game as they won 9-0.
  • Kieran Brown got three for Abbey Hulton in their big win at Sandbach United.

Bits and Pieces

  • Bacup Borough’s 0-0 at Droylsden broke a sequence of 51 games without one.
  • Pilkington kept their first clean sheet in 15 games and their first win in 14 with the 1-0 win against Charnock Richard.
  • South Liverpool’s win at Burscough was their first in 13 games.
  • Route One Rovers' 0-0 at Droylsden on 14th September was their first since 28th May 2022, when they drew 0-0 at South Leeds in the Yorkshire Amateur League. A run of 95 games.
  • Stockport Town’s 1-1 with Litherland REMYCA was their first score draw for 18 games.
  • Nelson’s 0-1 defeat at Bacup was the first time they have failed to score for 23 games – stretching back to March earlier this year.

Managers Records

  • Steve Rogers, manager managed his 100th Allscott Heath game as his side went down 0-2 at Winsford United.
  • One to watch for: Lee Ashcroft will manage his 400th Longridge game when his side travel to Glossop on Saturday. More details next week.
