Charlie Frost receives his Player of the Month Award

We were delighted to catch up recently with the First Division North Player of the Month award winner for July/August 2024.
Nelson striker Charlie Frost received the award from League Respect Co-Ordinator Stuart Taylor who carried out the presentation on behalf of the League.
It's fair to say that Charlie had quite a stunning start to the season for Nelson. The two games in July saw him win Man of the Match in both, whilst scoring five goals in the process. Two came in the 3-2 win on the opening day at Thornton Cleveleys, before a hat-trick in a 3-1 home win against Steeton.
Into August. Nelson were 2-1 behind at Daisy Hill, before Charlie scored twice in the second half on to give his side a fourth successive win and another MoM award. Another two goals, and another MoM came in a 3-0 home win against Darwen before his best performance of the month at home to Bacup Borough.
Nelson won 5-1 with Charlie picking up MoM once again for his display which saw him take home the matchball for the second time this season after scoring four times. His month wasn't over yet though, netting his 14th goal of the season and picking up his sixth Man of the Match award of the month in a 3-1 win at Maine Road.
