League Milestones and Statistics Update: Sunday 18th August 20224

Overall Stats

  • Ashton Town’s draw with Maghull saw them concede their 2,950th goal.
  • Ramsbottom’s opening goal of their win against Burscough was their 1,350th, they also conceded their 1,150th in the win against Irlam.
  • Barnoldswick’s second goal in the 2-2 draw with Padiham was their 1,000 in the league.
  • Lower Breck scored their 450th goal during their 4-2 win at Litherland REMYCA.
  • Abbey Hulton conceded their 450th goal in the midweek draw with Shawbury.
  • Longridge’s big win against Colne was their 200th game in the NWCFL and 50th home win.
  • Prestwich Heys won their 200th game, 3-0 at South Liverpool
  • Litherland REMYCA’s defeat to FC Isle of Man was their 150th.
  • Droylsden’s win at Nelson was their 100th.

Home Stats

  • AFC Blackpool’s defeat to Droylsden saw them concede their 1,300th home goal.
  • Skelmersdale scored their 1,000th home goal with the draw against Route One Rovers.
  • AFC Liverpool’s win at home to Squires gate was their 300th home game.

  • Reuben Jerome with three for Bury in their big win at Abbey Hey.
  • Thomas McNamara netted three for FC St Helens against FC Isle of Man.
  • Owen Watkinson hit three of Longridge’s eight at home to Colne.
  • Caelan Kilheeney with a triple for Droylsden at AFC Blackpool
  • Lucas Berry got three for Stockport Georgians as they beat Alsager, this was his clubs first hat-trick since they joined the NWCFL.

Managers Records

Jay Foulds is about to take charge of his 500th game for Ashton Athletic, he has 499 under his belt. He took over in June 2013, initially with Dougie Pitts and then as sole manager from November 2021. The game at Droylsden this evening will be ‘the big one’.

Bits and Pieces

  • FC St Helens gained their first score draw for twenty-two games with the 1-1 against Lower Breck
  • Garstang’s 3-3 with Skelmersdale was their first score draw in eighteen games, it was also Skelmersdale’s first in twelve games.
  • Cheadle Town’s clean sheet against Colne broke a run of ten with at least one goal conceded.
  • Barnton’s 1-0 win at Ashville was their first clean sheet in eight games
  • Squires Gate have the longest run since their last 0-0, 119 games!
