Stats and Milestone Update to Saturday 9th August 2023
Overall Milestones
Ramsbottom Utd’s 69th minute winner at Kendal was the 400th conceded by the ‘Mint Cakes’. It was also the Cumbrian sides 50th home defeat.
Longridge Town conceded their 300th goal in the draw at Bury.
Stockport Town’s third goal in their win against Abbey Hulton was their 600th in the league.
Wythenshawe Town’s opening goal against Chadderton was their 400th in the league.
Home Milestones
Colne reached 700 home games with the win against Kendal Town
Abbey Hulton’s midweek defeat to Market Drayton was their 100th home game.
Ashville scored their 50th home goal in the 4-0 win against Sandbach Utd.
Irlam’s third goal in their 4-1 win at Skelmersdale was the home sides 800th conceded home goal.
Away Milestones
Bury have now hit 100 goals on the road with Shakeel Jones- Griffiths 50th minute goal in the 1-1 draw at Wythenshawe FC.
Cheadle Heath Nomads win at Stokport Georgians saw them concede their 200th away goal.
Lower Breck’s winner at Chadderton was their 150th on the road.
Goal Heroes
Just one hat-trick this week, Mussa Jallow with three of Route One Rovers six at AFC Blackpool. This was the fourth triple by a R1R player this season.
League Records so far in 23/24
Only two of our sixty teams remain unbeaten in the league:
Barnoldswick in the Premier League, with four wins and four draws in their eight games and FC St Helens in Division One North, ten wins and two draws from their opening twelve games.
Brocton have the current longest winning sequence, with six on the bounce.
The teams with the best league goals per game records across the three divisions are:
Prem: Wythenshawe FC 2.78
First North: Route One Rovers: 2.92
First South: Droylsden 2.38
