Atherton LR this weekend have appointed ex Burscough manager Nick Mathews as their new manager following the recent departure of Warren Jones. Matthews will be joined by ex-Derby County player Karl Brown as his Assistant Manager. The new Management team have not hung around either in getting started as they have brought in former AFC Liverpool and Cammell Laird player Ben Lightfoot and former Skelmersdale United man, Tom Hilditch, both of whom made their debuts in LR's 2-1 home defeat to St Helens Town on Saturday.
