Longridge Town ended the weekend on top of the pile following their 5-0 away win at bottom side Litherland REMYCA. This was due to Rylands narrow and late 3-2 loss at the hands of improving Bootle with Cameron Dalton netting in injury time much to Joe Doran's delight.

Meanwhile, Congleton Town leap-frogged Runcorn Town with a 4-2 win, Northwich Victoria and Hanley Town both scored in the final three minutes but the game ended 1-1, leaving both sides mid-table, and a 74th minute Declan Gallagher goal secured a slender 1-0 win for Ashton Athletic against Padiham.

Irlam kept up the pressure on the top three sides as they defeated Squires Gate 5-1, whilst over at Skelmersdale UnitedWinsford United moved up several places after their 1-0 win.

In the First Division North, a very late 92nd minute James Bell secured all three points for Cleator Moor Celtic against a spirited Bacup Borough.
