After a perfect month for David Fish and his Chadderton side, they were yesterday awarded the Macron Club of the Month for September for the First Division North.
Fish has his side from Greater Manchester firing on all cyclinders, having won all three league games and their FA Vase tie against NCEL Division One side Brigg Town. They currently lie sixth in the standings and are the second best form side in the division - and with Daniel McLaughlin in fine form having bagged four goals in his previous two outings, not many will look forward to playing Fish's side.
"I'm absolutely delighted to win the award. August was a very up and down month after a positive preseason and it could have shaken our confidence but the lads responded magnificently. All players have been working hard in training and the atmosphere has been very positive throughout September with everybody buying in to the ethos we are looking to embed.
"The four wins in the month have come against good opposition and have been down to the whole squad. I hope this award will spur us on to keep the run going and continue our push for promotion."
Chadderton are next in action on Saturday when they host Pilkington in the PlayerMatch.com Cup Second Round.
