Carlisle City have announced the appointment of Jim Nichols as their new first team manager.
Jim leaves his post at South of Scotland League club Mid Annandale to make the switch to the D Marks Carpets Stadium. He has previous managerial experience at Penrith and he has also coached at Kendal Town, after ending his playing career as a goalkeeper at clubs including Northwich Victoria and Newcastle Blue Star.
Jim will be assisted by Alan Inglis, who has played locally for Workington Reds, Annan Athletic and Gretna.
They will take charge of their first game at home to Ellesmere Rangers in the First Division Cup quarter final on Saturday.
