Atherton Collieries have announced the appointment of Michael Clegg as first team manager.
Clegg - who spent last season as manager at neighbours Atherton Laburnum Rovers - replaces Steve Pilling who left the club by mutual consent last week.
In a statement on the club website, Michael said: “I’m really proud to be the man that Atherton Collieries think can take the club forward. I have found a club that matches my ambition and I am looking forward to the challenge that awaits.
“I’m really grateful to Atherton Laburnum Rovers for giving me a chance at this level. I leave some good players and friends behind and I owe them a lot”.
