Stafford Town receive July/August Club of the Month Award

We were delighted to catch up recently with Stafford Town, winners of the First Division South PST Sport Club of the Month award for July/August 2025.
Stafford Manager Adam Wall is pictured receiving the award on behalf of the club from League Committee Member Glyn Jones who carried out the presentation on behalf of the League Committee.
After a disappointing end to last season, they have started superbly, winning all five league games plus progression in the Isuzu FA Vase against a higher placed team. They scored 14 goals with just two goals conceded.
They started the month with a 2-0 home win over Eccleshall, Matthew Hearsey scoring twice, before winning by the same scoreline at home to Wolverhampton Sporting Community, Taylor Draper and Hearsey scoring. A 4-1 away win then came at Cammell Laird 1907, with Lairds taking an early lead. Hearsey levelled midway through the first half, before a James May double put them firmly in control. Mitchell Glover rounded off the scoring in stoppage time.
Another 4-1 win was next, this time at home to Barnton. May put them ahead with Barnton quickly levelling from the penalty spot. However a Hearsey hat-trick in the second half secured another win. It was the FA Vase next, with Midland League Premier Division side Tividale the visitors to Stafford. In a close game, Stafford won 1-0 with Hearsey the only scorer.
The sixth and final game of the month saw them travel to Allscott Heath. Again this finished 1-0 with Hearsey again on target with his ninh goal of the season.
That gave them 22 points from their 6 games for a 3.67 average.
