Chadderton receive July/August Club of the Month Award

We were delighted to catch up recently with Chadderton, winners of the PST Sport Premier Division Club of the Month award for July/August 2025.
Club Secretary David Shepherd along with the management and backroom staff at Chadderton are pictured receiving the award from League Respect Officer Stewart Taylor who carried out the presentation on behalf of the League Committee.
Chaddy played eight games in the month and a bit period, winning seven of them and losing one as they made a terrific start to the league and progressed in the Emirates FA Cup. They played four home games and four on the road, including a win against a team from a higher division in the FA Cup.
They started the season with a 1-0 home win against Charnock Richard courtesey of a Benito Lowe goal. The first midweek they travelled to Wythenshawe where they lost 3-1, with Lewis-Simon Byrne getting their only goal of the game from the penalty spot seconds before half time.
They bounced back with progress in the Emirates FA Cup, where despite falling behind to Stockport Town, they came back and won 2-1 with goals from Matthew Crothers and Byrne. Byrne was amongst the goals in the next game where he netted a hat-trick in a 7-2 win over South Liverpool. Lowe added two more to his account with Matthew Barlow and Adam Dale both getting off the mark for the season.
They then travelled to Barnoldswick Town and won 6-0, Byrne with two, Lowe, Crothers and Dale with one and Daniel McLaughlin getting the other. Further progress came next in the FA Cup with Adam Dale scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win at Irlam.
Byrne then took his tally to nine for the season in a 4-1 win at home to FC St Helens, Barlow and Ryan Shenton getting the others. And they then finished the month with a 3-1 away win at Northern Premier League side Bishop Auckland, Byrne taking his tally to 11 for the season already with two of the goals, Barlow with the other.
Those results gave Chaddy 26 points towards the Club of the Month calculation from their 8 games for a 3.25 average.
