Last week, Cheadle Heath Nomads confirmed the departure of manager Paul Fay.

In a statement, the management committee said:

"We can confirm that Paul Fay has stepped down from his role as manager of Cheadle Heath Nomads with immediate effect.

As most of you know, Paul runs the Altrincham Academy, and increasing work load, and of course, spending more quality time with his young family, meant Paul didn’t have the time he would have liked to commit to Nomads.

We would like to extend all our best wishes and thanks to Paul for the amazing job he has done since joining Nomads, taking us to our highest league position since joining the NWCFL and with an average age of under 21 in his first season is a superb achievement.

Paul leaves the club in a strong position, with a good young squad, another year of experience into the league, and a positive future.

Current assistant manager, Adam Bond will take over the reins from Paul and will be assisted by ex Stockport County favourite JJ Jennings.

Let’s get behind Bondy and JJ and look forward to another good season for the club."
