The final day of an action-packed month sees yet another Saturday packed full of fixtures. It's FA Cup weekend once again and three of our clubs remain in the competition at the First Qualifying Round stage. We'll start with the one club at home; West Didsbury & Chorlton. West have had a fairly indifferent start to their league campaign, as one win and three draws from their opening five fixtures sees them in 16th position, albeit they have played fewer games than all of those above them. Visiting Brookburn Road on Saturday afternoon are none other than Silsden AFC. Silsden will be a familiar name to many fans as they spent 15 seasons in our setup before being transferred over to the Northern Counties East League Premier Division in 2019. They have remained there ever since and have started this season brightly, winning two and drawing two of their five league games so far.

Barnoldswick Town needed a replay to progress from the last round, where they disposed of Northwich Victoria in fairly impressive fashion with a 4-2 away win. They make the trip to the fantastically named Giant Axe with the aim of reaching the Second Qualifying Round for the first time ever. Lancaster City stand in their way, a side who currently play in the Northern Premier League Premier Division (Step 3) and have accumulated eight points from six games so far this term. Last but by no means least are the seemingly free-scoring Bury FC, who have scored a whopping 33 goals in all competitions this season, in just nine games! They knocked out higher level opposition in the last round as they scored a late winner at former NWCFL side Avro. Their reward for this win was another trip to a Step 4 club as they travel across the Pennines to NPL East outfit Garforth Town. This is the Miners' first season at that level since 2013 and they have yet to lose a game this season; with two wins and two draws to kick off the league season - it should be a cracking match over at Wheatley Park!

Back to the relative normality of league action and there are no fewer than nine Premier Division games kicking off at 3pm. League leaders Ramsbottom United travel north to the outskirts of Preston to face off against Longridge Town knowing that three points will extend their lead at the top of the table. Chadderton and Lower Breck could have overtaken them this weekend with a win, but they played out a 0-0 draw at Avro's Vestacare Stadium on Friday night and Charnock Richard - the other side within three points of the Rams - have a rare blank Saturday. Looking down at the wrong end of the table, Squires Gate and Prestwich Heys do battle in south Blackpool with both looking to kick start their season after claiming just four points each from their seven games so far. Basement club Litherland REMYCA travel to Abbey Hey still looking for their first maximum of the campaign while Glossop North End head east to Burscough's Community Stadium. Glossop have lost their last four so will certainly be looking to put that run behind them against the Linnets. Two newly-promoted clubs who have started life in the Premier Division brightly, Stockport Town and FC St Helens, go head-to-head at the latter's SMS Pro Soccer Park with both knowing that maximum points in this fixture will take them into the play-off places come 5pm tonight. Other fixtures include Cheadle Town v AFC LiverpoolColne v FC Isle of ManIrlam v Pilkington and South Liverpool v Padiham.

There's a full schedule in both of our Step 6 divisions, and we'll take a look at the First Division North first. It's tight at the top here after most sides have completed 10 of their allotted 34 league fixtures. Leaders Atherton LR welcome Steeton to Crilly Park while early pacesetters Nelson sit just a point behind and will be looking to overhaul them should they win away at Maine Road. Just one point further back lie Holker Old Boys, who host an out-of-form side Bacup Borough in what could be a cracking 90 minutes at the Handmark Engineering Stadium. There's another tasty looking tie further down the M6 as 5th host 6th at the Jim Fowler Memorial Ground, with Euxton Villa ahead of AFC Blackpool only on goal difference at kick-off. Route One Rovers look to dust themselves down after removal from the FA Vase earlier this week and have a home fixture against an Ashton Town side who may still be licking their wounds after a 3-0 reverse to their near neighbours on the bank holiday. Currently winless Skelmersdale United face a tough trip to the Butchers' Arms and they're up against a Droylsden side looking to keep pace with the leading pack. Rounding out the 1DN today is Ashton Athletic v Daisy HillDarwen v Garstang and Maghull v Thornton Cleveleys.

Looking at the First Division South, Alsager Town will fancy themselves to continue their fantastic start to the season when Shawbury United visit Wood Park, who are finding life in the NWCFL tough on the pitch as they currently sit 17th in the table with eight points from 10 games; 14 points fewer than their hosts. Stafford Town are just one goal behind the Bullets in the standings and they take on Barnton at their Evans Park home. Winsford United and New Mills both struggled last season but have started this season very well indeed and find themselves in the top 5 as of this morning. Winsford host an inconsistent Market Drayton Town while Wolverhampton Sporting Community travel to New Mills' Church Lane. Runcorn Town will be absolutely desparate to finally get some points on the board and Allscott Heath stand in their way in Shropshire later today. Stockport Georgians currently occupy the third and final 'liable to relegation' place in the division and they host 5th-placed Ashville. A maximum for the Georgians there could (theoretically, given the GD swing) see them rise as high as 10th in what is a very tightly packed table. Completing the day's action is Abbey Hulton United v Sandbach United, Cammell Laird 1907 v Eccleshall and Foley Meir v Cheadle Heath Nomads.

All fixtures in all competitions kick off at 3pm.
