Daisy Hill have announced the appointment of Brian Hart as their new first team manager.

Brian takes over from Phil Roberts, who left the club at the end of the season.

Daisy Hill Secretary Bob Naylor said: “After the final game of the season at Eccleshall, Phil told us that with increasing work commitments, he felt he wouldn’t have the time available to carry out the job in the way he would like.

"He has therefore decided that he would have to step down. Everyone at the club would like to thank Phil, and his assistants Moray Boyd and Scott Derbyshire, for their efforts during the course of the season.

“Brian is no stranger to the club, having been part of the managerial team when Craig Thomas was in charge previously. He is keen to have the opportunity of managing the team on his own, and we are happy to be working with him.

“He will be appointing his backroom team in due course, in preparation for the start of pre-season training”.
