Club Resignations

Wigan Robin Park and Oldham Borough have notified the League Management Committee that they are resigning from the league with immediate effect.
Both clubs notified the League in the space of the last two days to confirm their respective decisions.
Wigan Robin Park joined the NWCFL in 2008, after being promoted as champions of the Manchester League. Their most successful season was in 2011-12, when the first team managed by John Neafcy won the First Division title, while the reserve team won the Reserve Division.
They were also runners up in the Division One Trophy, losing 3-1 league title rivals Norton United in the final at Ramsbottom United, and reached the semi-final of the Lancashire Challenge Trophy before losing to Chorley at the County Ground in Leyland.
In a statement issued to the League, Wigan Robin Park Chairman John Neafcy said: "The club has lost major sponsorship, and the impact of this is that we are unable to continue.
"I have tried tirelessly to try and get new sponsorship deals in place, but with no joy.
"I would like to thank everyone for their help over the years. It's been a pleasure to play in such a prestigious league".
Oldham Borough joined the legaue as founder members in 1982 under the name Oldham Dew, and underwent two name changes to Oldham Town and Oldham Boro, before announcing their intention to compete under the name Oldham Borough last year.
They were runners-up in the Third Division in season 1985-86, and runners up in the Second Division (now the First Division) in season 1994-95. They were also runners-up in the Second Division Trophy in season 1986-87, losing on penalties to New Mills in the final.
