Market Drayton Town delighted to announce the appointment of one of the brightest and talented managers around in Dan Dawson as our new first team manager.
Dan has most recently guided Redgate Clayton to unpresented success this season, culminating in a league and cup double, winning the Staffordshire County Senior league by 20 points and remaining unbeaten throughout.
New Chairman Matthew Allen stated "We're delighted to welcome Dan to the club, his record over recent years at Redgate has been phenomenal and he was identified early on in the process as the man we wanted to lead the club forward into our next era. He is an ambitious young manager who wants to build a strong team as he has done at Redgate, and the club will provide that platform for him and his players to reach new heights. Both the club and Dan are aligned in our ambition of challenging for honours next season and excited by the challenge that lays ahead"
Dan Dawson added...."I am very proud to be appointed First Team Manager at Market Drayton Town Football Club. It was the clubs proud traditions and passionate fan base that attracted me to the role and I will strive, along with my back room team and players, to give the town a team they can be proud of. I am excited to work closely with Matt, the committee and all of the supporters to ensure we create a winning culture!"
