A rearranged TJ Vickers Premier Cup Semi Final is all that separates the Division One Souths second most inform side from a place in the final against either Allscott AFC or Shifnal Town FC.
FC Oswestry Town travel to Wem Town’s Bowens Field tonight where they take on West Midlands Regional League Division One side Wellington Amateurs in what will be a tough game against a team flying high in the division below.
Wellington Amateurs have shown their interest in joining the National League System next season having applied for promotion and currently sit third in the league below six points behind top spot. The club has also recently announced a merger with local under 18 side Wellington Ketley Bank United.
FC Oswestry Town currently sit second in Division One South of the North West Counties League and are chasing promotion to the Premier Division. The club still has two chances for silverware this season in the TJ Vickers Premier Cup and The Playermatch.com Cup along with a chance still to win the league.
Oswestry have played two games to reach this stage of the competition beating two sides from the equivalent league as they beat Shawbury United 1-0 in the first round before a comfortable 8-0 victory against Wem Town in the Quarter Finals. Just ninety minutes separate the club and a place in the final and possible silverware.
