On Tuesday morning, it was announced that FC Oswestry Town had received the award for the Macron NWCFL First Division South team of December following their unbeaten month in the league.
Manager Nathan Leonard only took over in mid-November and claimed the accolade at the end of his first full month in charge, "The lads deserve the award for the hard work and effort they've put in since I've taken over.
"Important though we don't get carried away after a few wins as there is a lot of work still to be done. Several teams are pushing to get into the top 4 so we must get another winning run going and try and push Vauxhall as much as possible."
Their next game is on Saturday when they face an away trip to Wythenshawe Town in the league as they look for their first win of the year following a tough start to 2020.
