Weekend 3 in the NWCFL saw a glut of goals as the early league tables start to take shape.
Premier Division
In the Premier Division, Chaddrton romped to a 7-2 home victory over South Liverpool, whilst Atherton LR secured their first Premier Division win in stunning fashion by winning 6-0 at City of Liverpool.
There were plenty of high scoring away wins with Irlam winning 5-3 at Charnock Richard, Glossop North End winning 3-2 at FC Isle of Man and Abbey Hey winning 4-2 at Pilkington. Six goals were also shard between West Didsbury & Chorlton and Euxton Villa.
Elsewhere there were away wins for Barnoldswick Town, Wythenshawe and Padiham, with the Storks being the only wide to have a 100% win record now. Cheadle Town's home victory over AFC Liverpool one of only two home wins in the division, whilst the remaining game saw honours even between Ramsbottom United and FC St Helens.
First Division North
Its a three way tie at the top of the First Division North between Thornton Cleveleys, Maghull and Steeton, with all three securing victories on Saturday. Thornton beat Ashton Athletic 3-2 at home with both Maghull and Steeton winning 2-1 away at AFC Blackpool and Holker Old Boys respectively.
Biggest win of the day came from Maine Road who beat MSB Woolton 5-0, with Fulwood Amateurs also scoring five in a 5-2 win at Colne. Ashton Town, Garstang and Squires Gate all had 2-1 home wins in the other games.
First Division South
Runcorn Town and Stafford Town registered their fourth successive wins in the First Division South with convincing home wins. Runcorn beat Wolverhampton Sporting Community 7-0 with Stafford beating Barnton 4-1.
Like the Premier Division there were some nig scores with New Mills winning 5-3 at Haughmond and Wolverhampton Casuals beating Alsager Town 4-1. Telford Town beat Sandbach United 3-0, with Foley Meir, Eccleshall and Stockport Georgians all winning as well as keeping clean sheets. Cheadle Town beat Cammell Laird 1907 3-1 in the afternoon's other game.
