EMIRATES FA CUP EXTRA PRELIMINARY ROUND

Euxton Villa recorded their first ever victory in the Emirates FA Cup in style with a 6-0 win over fellow NWCFL Premier Division side Atherton LR. Substitute Charlie Simmons scored twice for Euxton, with three goals in each half giving them a commanding win.

Neil Weaver scored twice for South Liverpool as they progressed with a fine 4-2 victory away at Ramsbottom United. Prestwich Heys were 2-0 winners away at NCEL side Handsworth, with both of Heys goals coming in the second half. 

There was also an away win for Longridge Town, Harry Williamson scored the only goal of the game to beat Keighley Town. And Litherland REMYCA secured their first FA Cup win since 2020 with a 2-1 win over Charnock Richard. 

Nelson twice led in their first FA Cup game since 2017/18 against Stockport Georgians, with the score 2-2 at half time. The Admirals found the net again in the second half to record a 3-2 win.

There will be midweek replays for five teams after draws today. One will be at FC St Helens who led early on at North Ferriby but had to rely on an equaliser four minutes into stoppage time in a 2-2 draw. 

Barnoldswick Town led against Atherton Collieries before falling behind, but found an equaliser to draw 2-2. And it was the same scoreline at Burscough who came from 2-0 down at half time to force a replay against Droylsden.

Glossop North End came from behind to draw 1-1 at Tadcaster Albion, whilst Abbey Hey drew at home to Ossett United by the same scoreline. 

Northern Premier League side Witton Albion won 2-0 at Chadderton, with Clitheroe beating AFC Liverpool 5-0. 

EDWARD CASE CUP PRELIMINARY ROUND 

Fulwood Amateurs were the big winners in the Edward Case Cup, with Spencer Lucas scoring four and Charlie Ridge three in an 8-2 win at home to Halewood Apollo. 

Flixton ran out 4-0 winners at home to Ashton Athletic, and it was a similar story at Maine Road as they put four without reply past AFC Blackpool.

Joshua Coe scored twice as Steeton beat AFC Knowsley 3-1, with Colne also scoring three goals as they won 3-0 at Garstang.

Kieron Cliff also hit a brace as Brereton Social won 3-2 away at Dawley Town, with Market Drayton Town winning 3-0 at home to Crewe.

The remaining three games all went to penalties. AFC Bridgnorth were two goals ahead against Bilston Town but pegged back to 2-2 before winning 4-1 on penalties. 

Wednesfield Community and Widnes Town drew 1-1 with Wednesfield winning 5-4 from the spot, with Uppermill winning 4-3 on penalties against Daisy Hill after a 1-1 draw.

FIRST DIVISION NORTH

Maghull were the big winners of the day with a 4-1 win over Holker Old Boys, Sam Smith scoring twice for Maghull. 

Noah Inneh scored twice for Ashton Town who still led 2-0 against Fulwood Amateurs with ten minutes to go. However a stunning turnaround saw three goals in six minutes for Fulwood, Luke Harris scoring a penalty to give his side a 3-2 win.

Cammell Laird 1907 beat Squires Gate 2-0, with Bacup Borough and Ashville drawing 1-1, and Darwen and Woolton doing likewise.

FIRST DIVISION SOUTH

Solomon Richards was the hero for New Mills with his stoppage time proving the winner for New Mills in their home game with Allscott Heath.

Telford Town threw away a two goal lead at home to Alsager Town before Georgie Dawes hit a winner with ten minutes to go in a 3-2 win over Alsager Town.

Barnton conceded in the first minute at Eccleshall, but turned things around to win 2-1. And Kieran Cook scored twice for Wolverhampton Casuals as they recorded their second successive 3-0 away win at Cheadle Heath Nomads.

Shawbury United won 2-0 at Foley Meir, with Sandbach United beating Stafford Town 1-0.
