The March 2024 Club of the Month Awards were reviewed and verified at the recent League Management Committee Meeting.
In the Premier Division the award goes to Cheadle Town who's fine record across the month has seen them steer well clear of any trouble. Cheadle Town had a great March by way of league fixtures, going unbeaten across the Month. Impressive wins against high flying Wythenshawe and Glossop North End on the Road were backed up by good home form with wins over a Lower Breck side who had a good month themselves and FC Isle of Man. Ironically that great run of form ended on Saturday when we turned up at their ground bearing the Club of the Month award! Sorry.
In First Division North it is Euxton Villa who have netted the Club award, having had a really solid month of performances that has maintained their strong challenge for a play-off spot. Their good run of form across the month saw them unbeaten in all four of their games, as well as securing a place in the Edward Case Cup Final with 2-0 home win over Droylsden and they are very much in with a shout for the play-off positions.
For First Division South the winners are New Mills whos record of five wins and a draw across an unbeaten saw them have a really good month, hoisting themselves out of the relegation places for the first time since the early weeks of the season and this in-turn has seen them awarded the Club of the Month award. That run of form included big wins over Abbey Hulton United (6-0) and Cheadle Heath Nomads (4-0).
