We were delighted to catch up recently with Padiham, winners of the Premier Division Club of the Month award for November 2024.
Padiham Manager Michael Morrison and Chairman Shaun Astin are pictured receiving the award from League Committee Member Glyn Jones who carried out the presentation on behalf of the League Committee.
The Storks won three games on the road as well as their only home game. The only blemish on an otherwise perfect record was a 5-5 draw at Albion Sports in the FA Vase. They scored an amazing 21 goals in these five games at an average of over four goals per game, giving supporters great value for money in their games!
Padiham started the month with a 3-1 win at Irlam in the Premier Division, before the 5-5 draw at NCEL side Albion Rovers in the Vase. Ben Hoskin scored eight minutes into stoppage time to rescue a draw there with Padiham ultimately losing 5-3 on penalties.
Another 3-1 away win followed away at Charnock Richard in the Premier Division, before they went goal crazy in a Lancashire Challenge Trophy game at home to rivals Colne. Joel Brownhill scored a hattrick in this game as Padiham won 8-0.
The final game of the month was another Premier Division win, this time at Glossop North End, with Padiham picking up maximum points from their league games.
Those results gave Padiham 17 points from their 5 games for a 3.40 average.
The closest challengers were Lower Breck with five wins and a draw from their six games, with Chadderton, Cheadle Town and FC Isle of Man all doing well also.
Congrations to everyone at the club!
