We were delighted to catch up on Saturday with the Reusch UK First Division South Goalkeeper of the Month award winner for November 2024.
Market Drayton Town goalkeeper Matt Holmes received the award from League Ambassador Andrew Reid with club Secretary Alex Dobson alongside him. Andrew carried out the presentation on behalf of the League and our sponsors Reusch UK. He recieves a pair of Goalkeeper Gloves from one of Reuch UK's leading range of Goalkeeper products.
Matt joined Market Drayton in the summer having had a superb season last season for Redgate Clayton where he conceded just 17 league goals in 30 games.
The month for Matt started with a clean sheet at Barnton, and he could do little stop Bourne Town winning 3-1 in the Vase.
A return to league action brought a second clean sheet in a stunning 5-0 win at Alsager Town, swiftly followed by another in a 4-0 win over Foley Meir in the Macron Cup.
The month finished with a game to forget for Matt and Market Drayton as they lost at Cammell Laird 1907, but overall a successful month for both.
