Wythenshawe Town today beat Bury FC in the Premier Division Play-off Final via a penalty shoot-out to gain promotion to Step 4.
In a game of high drama it was Wythenshawe Town who took the lead on 52 minutes when Sam Sheridan put the home side ahead. The game was levelled on 82 minutes when Dean Pinnington struck to level the game which was the way the normal time game finished. Like with the two other play-off finals this season, this one also went to Penalties.
It was the home side who ran out 3-2 winners from the shoot-out and they will take their place at Step 4 next season.
