Following confirmation over the weekend that Skelmersdale United will finish in a relegation position at the end of the season, Manager Pascal Chimbonda has issued a statement on X - formerly twitter, stating his desire to build for a strong campaign next season.
His post reads: "Yesterday (Monday) we were relegated from the NWCFL Premier Division. I failed at my mission but I will like to thank all the fans for their support. Let's take the good from this season and build for next season to bring Skelmersdale United back to where it belongs #skembonda #nonleague".
Following the weekends results and Skem's 3-1 defeat to landlords, Burscough, they are no longer able to catch the pack and will finish the season in a Relegation position for Step 6 for the 2024-25 season.
