The draw has been made for the Semi Finals of the Isuzu FA Vase.

All four Semi Finalists progressed through on Saturday afternoon thanks to penalty shoot out wins. Also still involved are the holders Newport Pagnell Town and Corsham Town who beat Atherstone Town and Peacehaven respectively.

The sides remaining are as follows:

1 Congleton Town - North West Counties Football League
2 Newport Pagnell Town - United Counties League Premier Division South
3 Corsham Town - Hellenic League Premier Division
4 Ascot United - Combined Counties League Premier Division North

THE DRAW

The draw was made live once more on TalkSport Radio.

Congleton Town v Newport Pagnell Town

The Bears know that they will have to defeat the current holders of the Isuzu FA Vase if they want to play at Wembley Stadium in May.

Congleton have had a good season so far, particularly at The Cleric Stadium where they have played 28 times in all competitions this season. From that they have won 20, drawing seven and losing just once. They have scored 56 goals and conceded 21. Four of their five FA Vase games this season have been at home, and they have scored 12 goals in the competition so far.

After challenging the league leaders earlier in the season, they have dropped down the league somewhat and are currently in ninth place in the league. They have won each of their last five matches.

Newport Pagnell Town play in the United Counties League Premier Division South and are currently fourth in their league. They are 16 points behind leaders Rugby Town but have four games in hand on them and they play each other at the end of the month. They have never faced a NWCFL in the past.

Newport Pagnell Town are the current holders of the Isuzu FA Vase having beaten Littlehampton Town 3-0 at Wembley Stadium last May. They have scored just nine goals in the competition so far, the lowest of all of the Semi Finalists.

Corsham Town v Ascot United

Corsham Town play in the Hellenic League Premier Division. They are in 5th place in the table with 13 wins, five draws and two defeats in the league, but they have only played 25 league games. This means they have seven games in hand on the league leaders Malvern Town who are 23 points above them.  Unsurprisingly Corsham have never faced a NWCFL team.

Ascot United beat West Didsbury & Chorlton on Saturday, and they are currently sitting top of the Combined Counties League Premier Division North looking a certainty for promotion. Of the 27 league games that they have played this season, they have won 23, losing and drawing two each. They have also scored a whopping 28 goals in their FA Vase campaign so far this season.

WHEN IS IT AND OTHER INFO?

Ties to be played on Saturday 1st April 2023. Winners at this stage in the Vase will pick up £5,500 from the prize fund with losing clubs also getting £1,750. Its poor money for reaching this stage, but of course the main prize is a place at Wembley Stadium on Non-League Finals Day.
