Cheadle Town have appointed Paul Marshall and Steven Yarwood as their new Management Team following the departure of Danny Meadowcroft by mutual consent. A club statement read:
Paul brings with him a vast amount of knowledge within the game having started his career with Manchester City, which then followed with spells as a professional at Blackpool, Port Vale, Aberdeen, Walsall, and Rochdale. Paul then gained valuable non-league experience with Droylsden, FC Halifax Town, Stockport County, Bradford Park Avenue, Alfreton Town, Curzon Ashton, Buxton, Mossley before finishing at Radcliffe and Workington last season. Paul is no stranger to Park Road Stadium having been part of Lloyd Morrison’s coaching staff in season 2020/2021 before COVID-19 put an early end to the season.
Paul commented on Twitter shortly after the announcement of his appointment:
“Delighted for the opportunity to manage the club. Looking forward to getting going and hopefully have a successful season!” [@paulmarshall89]
Joining Paul as his Assistant is Steven Yarwood who is well known face in the Manchester non-league scene following spells at Salford City, Mossley, Glossop North End, Wythenshawe Town and Abbey Hey.
Cheadle Town would like to place on record their thanks to Danny Meadowcroft and Brian Pritchard for all their efforts this past season.
