Division One North club Ashton Town and Manager, Dave Dempsey have parted company over the weekend due to accepting the Managers Position at Pitching in Division One West Club, Widnes.
That brings and end to Dempsey's second spell in charge of Town but the club have wished him well. In a Statement released overnigh, Club Chairman Mark Hayes has stated "Demps has been outstanding for us and 100% was the correct decision to re-appoind David back at the height of the pandemic. However, football is football and we move on. This club has come on in leaps and bounds under Demps' and the squad he leaves is outstanding. I obviously wish him all the best and he leaves with my best wishes."
"Onwards and upwards as always. To Stress, at present there is no vacancy at present whilst we take stock of where we are at. We won't be advertising unil after we have seen the lads this week."
