NWCFL 2025/26 Cup Information

The 2025/26 season will get underway at the League's Annual General Meeting on Saturday, where the First Round draws for both of the League's Cup competitions will be made following the meeting.
The Challenge Cup, known as the Macron Cup for sponsorship reasons, is open to all 61 of our Member Clubs whilst the Edward Case Cup is open to all 37 First Division North & South Clubs.
MACRON CUP
The holders of the Macron Cup, Charnock Richard, receive a bye into the Second Round, alongside the two highest-ranked clubs in last season's Premier Division that didn't achieve promotion - Ramsbottom United and Padiham. This leaves 58 clubs entering the First Round, the 29 winners joining the above three clubs in the Second Round. As in previous seasons, the competiton is regionalised prior to the Quarter Final stage to reduce travel.
The 58 clubs have been grouped into four groups for the draw; 16 clubs in Group 1 and 14 in each of Group 2, 3 and 4.

EDWARD CASE CUP
As in previous campaigns, we require a Preliminary Round to reduce the number of clubs in the First Round to 32. Like all matches in this competiton, these will be single-leg ties with a penalty shootout required if scores are level after the regulation 90 minutes. The clubs entering the Preliminary Round is determined based on league position in the 2024/25 season and are as follows:
North section
- Fulwood Amateurs (newly-promoted)
- Garstang (17th)
- MSB Woolton (newly-promoted)
- Steeton (15th)
South section
- Allscott Heath (15th)
- Foley Meir (16th)
- Haughmond (newly-promoted)
- Shawbury United (17th)
- Telford Town (newly-promoted)
- Wolverhampton Sporting Community (18th)
The two winners of the North section and three of the South section will enter the First Round, along with the remaining 27 clubs.
The competition is regionalised in earlier rounds in order to reduce travel; with the North and South divisions kept apart at the First Round stage:
