League Milestones and Statistics Update: Saturday 12th October 2024.

 

Overall Stats:

  • Abbey Hey conceded their 1,900th goal with the 2-1 win at Burscough
  • Colne’s midweek defeat at Chadderton was their 350th in the NWCFL (out of 860 matches), they also conceded their 1,500th goal in that game.
  • Maghull’s big win at Steeton also saw the one goal they conceded to be their 900th in the league.
  • Padiham’s draw at Squires Gate was their 1,100th league game.
  • Sandbach United’s second goal in their win at Runcorn Town was their 600th and they also passed 300 goals on the road.
  • South Liverpool’s defeat at Litherland REMYCA was their 50th in the league.

 

Home Stats:

  • Abbey Hulton’s defeat at home to Winsford Utd was their 50th.
  • AFC Liverpool recorded their 150th home win as they defeated Burscough 5-1.

 

Away Stats:

  • Winsford United recorded their 20th away win with victory at Abbey Hulton.

 

Goal Heroes:

  • Lewis-Simon Byrne with his second for Chadderton in the 3-2 win against Colne.
  • Darren Brannigan with Maghull’s first triple since their return to the NECFL, his side beating Steeton 6-1
  • Charlie Frost his third hat-trick this season as Nelson beat Route One Rovers 5-1
  • Matthew Hearsey with three of Stafford Town’s nine against Allscott Heath
  • Lewis Holdham (Abbey Hulton) as they beat Shawbury 3-1
  • Lucas Berry with three of Stockport Georgian’s eight as they won at Cammell Laird 1907, his third triple of the season.

 

Bits and Pieces:

  • Padiham’s defeat at FC Isle of Man was their first for ten games.
  • FC St Helens kept their first clean sheet for fifteen games.
  • South Liverpool 0-0 Pilkington, first scoreless draw for both sides for nineteen and eighteen games respectively.
  • Abbey Hulton failed to score against Winsford, their first blank for twelve games.
  • Stockport Georgian’s win at Eccleshall saw them keep their first clean sheet in twenty two games.

 

Managers Records:

  • Lee Ashcroft took charge of his 400th Longridge game last weekend, his side drawing 2-2 at Glossop North End. He was appointed on 01/08/2014. Record reads 182 wins, 62 draws and 156 defeats. Congratulations Lee.
